Spring is officially around the corner! Here's to the season where people are outside and enjoying the amazing weather after the Winter. You deserve some time to yourself. Really take time to reflect on what you think you didn't get to do last year and the beginning of the year thus far. So before you go crazy with parties and traveling, here are 6 things you can do to stay productive for Spring.
Spring Cleaning
A great way to stay productive this spring, is cleaning! This is now the time to put all your winter decor and supplies away. Any snow shovels, ice scrapers, and camping supplies are to go back in their long slumber. Switch out the winter decor and bring out the colorful and vibrant spring decor. Seasonally you should be doing a deep clean of all your bathrooms, kitchen (fridge, pantry, cabinets), closets, and bedrooms. I would suggest doing the cleaning first, so you can get a nice clean start to the amazing new season so you can work on everything else!
Take Time For Yourself
Within this nice transition process take specific time out for yourself. Nothing productive will ever get done if you are not happy and mentally ready to get anything done. Go to the spa or maybe some retail therapy. Maybe you're the person who stays in instead of going out, then watch your favorite movie and set your phone down for the day. Whatever it is that you love to do, make a conscious decision to take care of yourself!
Update Social Media And Professional Platforms
Update your personal social media accounts, and if you have any, your business accounts. Make sure you have relevant and up to date information on your platforms. Update your resume. This is a good way to keep you on track and make sure you are constantly learning new abilities and advancing yourself in your career. If you have nothing to add then make it look clean and put together.
Challenge Yourself Within Work Or Personal Life
To add to the last one if you haven't been able to add anything new to your resume. Now you know what to challenge yourself on. It is however, equally important to push yourself within your personal life. Did you not get a chance to add check marks to your bucket list? Well now is the time to put it in the forefront! Life is about living and you want to make sure you're not just breaking your back working. So make sure you are constantly pushing yourself and trying new things!
Start A Garden
A fun thing to get yourself into the new season is a small garden. If you don't have enough area/land to put one in the ground maybe try something new and just do herbs on the counter. I started to reuse my green onions and I have had so much fun watching them grow!
Get Yourself Caught Up
Was there anything that you have not had a chance to get done this year? Is there any work that will have to be done soon? Now is the time to put it at the front line. To stay ahead of all your to dos make sure you are constantly writing everything down and keeping yourself on track. It is easy to get lost especially if you have a lot done that you keep pushing off. Get your head up and start the process and do one thing on your list!
